Celebrate Sanitas with one last Cheers!
To anyone who has ever had a beer from Sanitas Brewing Company or just enjoyed time with loved ones on our patios, thank you.
We have come to the very tough decision to close Sanitas Brewing Company. Our goal is to remain open until December 20th, 2025.
It is no secret that the craft beer industry is currently facing significant challenges that impact business viability, and Sanitas is not immune to these realities. One of Sanitas’ primary values is “Do The Right Thing x 4” - that is 4 for; our community, our customers, ourselves and our company. Please trust that closing is the right, albeit bittersweet, decision today.
Creating opportunities for communal experiences with friends and family, paired with a decent brew, is what Sanitas was founded on. And since 2013, we truly lived that commitment. We built spaces for good times and craft beers in three locations; Boulder, Englewood (est. 2023) and Lafayette (est. 2024). We hosted hundreds, if not thousands, of celebrations and happy moments. Sanitas was a safe space for people to connect and relax, or to conduct business and get work done. Our patios welcomed four-legged friends and two-legged little ones. We hosted bands, DJs, films, art, charities, weddings - even saunas at one point! We navigated a worldwide pandemic! 1.7 million cans of Sanitas beer went to your homes or your friend’s homes. We not only distributed in Nebraska, Maryland, Connecticut and Rhode Island, but thousands of cases of our Lime Lager were sent all the way to Sweden, Prague, and Australia! Sanitas was pouring on draft at hundreds of bars all over the Front Range - reaching more craft beer enthusiasts than our three taprooms could. And we took home a few medals and awards over the years. Sanitas achieved what we set out to accomplish and more.
Thank you to every person who came into our taprooms, picked up a case of Sanitas at the store or chose a draught pour of Sanitas off someone else’s menu.
Thank you to our Good People for being Sanitas’ biggest fans.
Thank you to our investors, partners, and suppliers for your loyal support.
Thank you to McDevitt Taco Supply, Bona Coffee Roasters, C-Burger and Atlas Coffee for being on this journey with us.
Thank you to our stellar beertenders and to everyone who has ever brewed, packaged, delivered, marketed, event-captained, accounted, brand repped, or taproom managed for us - our people are what made Sanitas. Without you all, we wouldn’t have been Sanitas Brewing Company.
Thank you to our friends who have been our supporters from day one from both sides of the bar.
Finally and most importantly, thank you to our incredible families who accepted the sacrifices of this craft beer dream and anchored us along the way. Your love and support is immeasurably appreciated. You stood by our sides while we chased dreams and you buckled up for the adventure of a lifetime. This ride has not been easy, but we had a lot of fun, and did something together that matters! Thank you!
Now, in line with Sanitas’ goal of creating opportunities to spend time with loved ones, we look forward to turning our energy and attention to being with our own friends and family - probably with a craft beer still in hand too.
Whatever the reason for choosing Sanitas Brewing Company, we’re honored to have been a part of it. Sincerely, thank you.
But we’re not done yet. Along with farewells, we’ll have a few more train beers and some great beer deals soon. We invite you to come celebrate the end of an era with us! Please visit a taproom in the next few weeks for a final cheers or two or three!
Whole-heartedly, thank you. We’ll see you soon!
Michael Memsic, Chris Coyne, Zach Jardinico & the entire Sanitas Family
